Question: What does it mean to be a Chosen people in Deuteronomy? What makes them so special in relation to other nations of the world?
Because God chose them, via Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!
Abraham was a “friend” of God; and he and Sarah had a “miracle” child (Isaac) when in their old age (Sarah was approx. 100 years old)!
From Jacob came the twelve Tribes of Israel; and in them were God’s promises and Covenant established.
God chose Israel over other nations, despite their failure to keep their Covenant with Him?
Because He knew the “heart” of Abram, (who would father the Jewish) and Arab nations, and chose Him to eventually be part of the solution to “the Mystery of Iniquity” which is embodied in Satan, and all beings who follow Satan!
Although the Jews as yet have not entered the seriously pertinent section of their existence regarding the above statements; they are getting close to the historic prophecy of Ezek. 39:21–29; which will be the anti-thesis to their recorded failure so far as stated in Malachi etc., and Zech.12:10 will transpire!
That will auger the stage of Satan’s imprisonment for 1000 years; prior to his and his followers destruction which is shown in Rev. 20:7–10!
